Rules & Policies

Check In/Out: Check-in: 2:00PM to 8:00PM daily. There are NO check-ins after office hours.
Check-out: 12:00PM unless other arrangements have been made with the park office in advance.
Payment Payment is due in full at time of check-in unless reservations are being made in advance in which payment in full will be due at the time you are making your reservation.
Guests/Visitors Campers may have guests visit them. All guests or visitors are required to check in at the office upon arrival and BEFORE entering the park. Guests will be charged a $10.00 fee for use of campground facilities. If your guest(s) do not register at the office they will be asked to leave. Campers are responsible for the behavior of their guests. Day guests who have paid the daily fee are entitled to stay until 10 PM. Guests are not permitted to bring pets into the park. No visitors will be allowed to enter the park after 8 PM unless management is notified in advance by the registered camper.
Conduct: Guest stay is at the discretion of the park management. Weekend “Quiet Hours” are from 11:00PM until 8:00AM and are strictly enforced. Exceptionally loud noises, radios, generators, etc. are undesirable at any time. This is a family oriented park. Profane or obscene conduct is strictly prohibited and will be cause for immediate eviction. Parents are responsible for the safety of their children at all times.
Quiet Hours Quiet Time is daily from 10:00PM until 8:00AM. In keeping with the family environment, campers are asked to refrain from any loud behavior or disturbances during these periods. Children under the age of 18, must be on their campsite and/or under direct adult supervision by 10:00PM!.
Speed Limit/Vehicle Use: For everyone’s safety, the speed limit in the park is 5 MPH. This will be strictly enforced.
Campfires & Firewood Live trees are NOT to be cut for firewood or for any other reason! Any guest who is found to be cutting or damaging trees throughout the park will be subject to a fee which will be charged to the credit card on file with their reservation. All campfires must be contained in metal fire rings/fire pits to minimize danger. Fires must be kept to a reasonable height. Campers are not to use campfires to burn trash. Campfires must be completely extinguished before retiring for the evening or departing the park. Camp firewood is available at the office for a reasonable fee. Blue Mountain Campground follows DEC rules regarding transportation and use of firewood. For anyone who transports firewood into the campground, firewood can only be transported into the campground if you are within a 50 mile radius and you are not crossing state lines. NO Ash firewood permitted at all. You MUST have a DEC transport permit completely filled out upon arrival and submit to the office. Any firewood brought in to the campground not within the above guidelines will need to be removed from the grounds.
Pets All pets must be vaccinated and proof of vaccination provided to the office upon arrival. All pets must be kept on a short leash and under the control of the pet owner at all times. Campers are expected to “clean up” after your pets (in a timely fashion). Please do not tie up pets at site and leave them unattended. Owners are responsible for the actions of their pets. The management reserves the right to refuse dangerous breeds or aggressive pets. Pets that annoy other campers or are deemed a nuisance will be asked to leave the park. Blue Mountain Campground and management shall be held harmless and assumes no liability, implied or otherwise, for animal bites or injury. You, as a pet owner, specifically agree to indemnify Blue Mountain Campground and management to cover any injury or damage which may occur.
Improper Behavior For the protection and benefit of all campers and guests, anyone who willfully or negligently destroys or defaces the property of another camper, park property, or forestry will be held liable for the full value of replacement cost and may be subject to eviction. No firearms, B.B. guns, bow and arrows, slingshots, air guns or fireworks may be discharged or permitted on premises. Further, any individual who violates these guidelines, or by their actions or words disturbs the peace, creates conflict, or otherwise creates a situation not in keeping with the family environment, will be engaging in improper behavior and may be instructed to leave the park.
Parental Responsibility Please provide proper supervision for your children while in the park. All children must be under direct adult supervision. Parents will be held responsible for the actions of minor children. Children 12 & under must be on their site and under direct adult supervision by Dusk. Children ages 13-18 must be on their site by 10p.m. and under direct adult supervision.
Alcohol Policy In keeping with the family environment, excessive use of alcoholic beverages is not tolerated. Violators will be requested to leave the park.
Campsite Requirements Campers are required to keep their site in a clean and neat order. The campground provides numerous garbage receptacles as well as a dumpster for your convenience, please use them. Do not leave trash or garbage on the campsite. When you are ready to depart the park, the campsite should look the way it did when you arrived. ABSOLUTELY NO DUMPING OF GREY OR SEWAGE ONTO THE GROUND. THIS WILL BE STRONGLY ENFORCED!!!.
Trash Garbage is not picked up at individual campsites. Please dispose of all trash in the dumpster provided located by the dump station, ONLY! Do not dispose of hazardous materials in trash containers. Do not bring trash from home or burn trash at your campsite. All other trash cans around the campground are for loose trash only, not bagged trash. Guests who leave trash or garbage on their campsite at checkout are subject to a 25.00 Clean-up fee which will be charged to the credit card on file for the registration.
Washing Campers/Vehicles Washing of Campers or personal automobiles is NOT permitted in the park at any time.
Clotheslines For the safety of all campers, permanent clotheslines are not permitted on sites. Temporary clotheslines may be used. Clotheslines should be taken down immediately after use, as they pose a safety hazard, especially after dark.
Electricity Please conserve on electric whenever possible which will help us keep our demand rate down which will in turn help to keep our rates reasonable.
Firearms & Fireworks: These items ARE NOT PERMITTED at any time under any circumstances.
Cancellations: “In-Season” (May – Oct)Tent and RV cancellations must be received no later than one week (7 days) before check-in date.  All cancellations are subject to a 20.00 cancellation fee. Cancellations made after this deadline will result in forfeiture of all deposits. Cabin and Lodge cancellations must be received no later than one week (7 days) before check-in date.  All cancellations are subject to a 25.00 cancellation fee. Cancellations made after this deadline will result in forfeiture of all deposits. Extended stay reservations (anything longer than 1 week) All cancellations are subject to a 25% cancellation fee. NO refunds for: Holiday / special event weekends, Early departures, inclement weather, discomforts of nature or No-Shows.   

“Winter Camping” Season (Oct – April) Due to limited space and very high demand we are unable to offer any refunds for cancellations on any “Winter Camping” reservations.

Miscellaneous Items:

  • This is a family park; minors under the age of 21 will not be allowed to camp without direct adult supervision.
  • Disorderly conduct directed toward staff, management or other guests will not be tolerated and could result in immediate termination of your camping privileges as well as removal from the park.
  • No powered mini bikes, ATV, scooters, or mopeds are allowed in the park.
  • Motorcycles used for transportation are to be registered at the office when you check in. Vehicles of this type may be ridden only from the park entrance to your site, and may not be ridden around the park. All operators must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license.
  • Bicycle riding after dark is not permitted. All bicyclists must wear a helmet when riding. This campground rule will be strictly enforced for children sixteen (16) and under. Anyone caught violating these rules may face confiscation of their bicycle and revoked riding privileges.
  • All park buildings are non-smoking.
  • There will be no refunds on rent for voluntary departure, acts of nature or removal by eviction. Blue Mountain Campground, management is not liable for any damage, theft, or injury to person or property occurring within the premises. Management is not responsible for damage by lightning, electrical surges, or any other act of nature. Therefore, campers should maintain their own personal property and liability insurance.
  • The management reserves the option to remove persons from the park at their sole discretion.

Hosting Parties on campground property:

  • All events or private parties are to be discussed and approved by management in advance.
  • All guests attending party must register at office upon arrival.
  • Responsibility of the guest will be solely on the host/hostess of the registered camper.
  • Quiet time must be followed at all times.
  • Please have consideration for fellow campers and neighbors.
  • ALL RULES AND REGULATIONS WILL APPLY!!
